Norwegian Getaway

The Norwegian Getaway was introduced in 2014. It can sustain 3,963-passengers and 1,646 crew members. Furthermore, in 2019, Norwegian Getaway was renovated. To make it a more exquisite cruise, they added a full-service Starbucks, a new live music venue and more.

The ship stands out from others because of its quarter-mile-long “Waterfront” area. The Waterfront is lined with shops, bars, and restaurants. 

Norwegian Getaway is usually the favorite of the younger crowds. This is because of the multi-story water park and age-specific kids and teens clubs.

On the other hand, it is ideal for couples as well. With romantic gourmet dining venues, such as the Ocean Blue specialty restaurant, as well as Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville at Sea, it is a beautiful couples’ destination.

Who said solo travelers are not welcome? Take advantage of the Studio cabins with a beautiful Oceanview and balcony. If you want something more luxurious, you can opt for The Haven cabin. It offers a 24-hour butler service and a private sun deck.

The Norwegian Getaway departs for New York City, New Orleans, Rome, and Barcelona. It sails to the Bahamas, Europe, and the Caribbean.

In terms of costs, Norwegian getaway contains 14 decks and the price is usually $1100 and above.

The Norwegian Jewel

Norwegian Jewel sails to a variety of destinations throughout Asia, Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, and more. It can hold 2,376-passengers. In fact, in December 2018, it was renovated.

The Norwegian Jewel now has updated lounges, premier entertainment, aesthetic dining venues, and redesigned staterooms. However, it has a low 1-to-2 crew-to-guest ratio. This in turn makes tailored experiences a priority.

With 15 eateries and 13 bars and lounges, every guest has plenty of elbow room. Passenger favorites include O’Sheehan’s 24-hour bar and grill and the specialty Brazilian steakhouse.

The Jewel is well suited for families due to its age-appropriate kids clubs, a video arcade and waterslides. Although, there are plenty of diversions to keep grown-ups occupied as well. These include a full-service spa, a casino and sports facilities.

In addition to that, cruisers can choose between Inside, Oceanview, Balcony, Mini-Suite, and Suite category cabins for lodging. If you are opting for even more space and luxury, then you should choose a cabin in The Haven. Cabins at The Haven offer multiple bedrooms and access to a private sun deck. It costs $741 and above per person for the cruise.

Norwegian Gem

The Gem is a large ship that carries 2,394 passengers and 1,070 crew members. The Norwegian Gem has Balcony staterooms and Oceanview staterooms. Those in The Haven rooms gain access to exclusive private restaurants, concierge service and courtyards.

With 15 dining venues, and daytime sport activities, spas and pools, it is an ideal voyage for a family. Come evening, the whole family can enjoy nightly entertainment like country music concerts and other musical performances.  

The Norwegian Gem departs from ports in Boston, New York, San Francisco, and Quebec City for sailings in the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, the Panama Canal, and Canada and New England. Norwegian Gem contains 12 decks. The cost is usually $14 per person.

The Norwegian Epic

Epic departs from Miami and Puerto Rico for cruise sailings in the Caribbean. In fact, The Norwegian Epic can hold 4,100-passengers and 1,724 crew members. It boasts nonstop activities for cruisers to choose from.

Passengers can enjoy a water park, a bowling alley, a sports complex, and a spa by day. Furthermore, they can also take advantage of an ice bar, a comedy club, and live theatrical performances in the evenings. The younger cruise lovers can also play in kids and teens clubs.

Cruisers can wind down at one of 16 eateries found on board. These include seven specialty restaurants that serve everything from French fare to sushi (specialty eateries require an extra fee).

In addition to that, The Epic Ship offers a variety of lodging options. While solo cruisers can opt for a Studio cabin with exclusive access to the Living Room lounge, groups can choose between Inside, Balcony, Spa and Suite category cabins.

For a more luxurious experience, a suite in The Haven offers additional space and access to a courtyard, concierge lounge, and private restaurant and bar.

The price start from $1,640 per person.

Norwegian Joy

The Joy Ship carries 3804 passengers and 1821 crew members. Accommodation options include Inside, Oceanview, and Balcony staterooms. Furthermore, it also has Suites, Concierge rooms (which come with concierge service), and The Haven cabins (which include 24-hour butler service and private sundecks). 

The dining options at the cruise are spacious with eight specialty venues onboard, the latter of which offer cuisines from Japan, France, and Italy. The complimentary restaurants include the ship’s three main dining rooms; The Local, a 24-hour pub; and the Garden Café, a casual spot with floor-to-ceiling windows that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

On the cruise you can do a couple of exciting things such as shopping at luxury boutiques and duty-free stores, going to the spa, casino, mini-golf, keeping fit, visiting aqua parks and watching stand up comedians.
