New York City is the best place to take a toddler. Toddlers love New York because of all the things they can do and see: Broadway shows, Central Park, museums, ice skating in Bryant Park, and much more! They also enjoy being with their parents in this big city.
Toddlers from all over come to New York for many reasons – some as part of family vacation plans while others visit on school trips or have relatives here. No matter what brings them to NYC, there are so many great places they will want to explore and experience while they’re here.
Children’s Museum of Manhattan
The Children’s Museum of Manhattan is a great place to have an indoor Toddler experience. With exhibits and interactive spaces for toddlers, it’s never boring. Parents can be entertained by the selection of different galleries that are all designed with kids in mind.
The Children’s Museum is located at 212 West 83rd Street. Toddlers and their parents should be able to find it easily by taking the subway, walking from Central Park or hopping in a cab.
The cost at the museum is usually $11.00 for Toddlers and $12.00 for adults, but Toddler prices vary throughout the year so be sure to check online before making your visit!
Hurd’s Family Farm
Hurd’s is a great place to spend time with Toddlers and their families. It is an all-inclusive farm that has activities for kids of all ages including Toddler adventures like hayrides, petting zoos, pony rides, pumpkin picking (in the fall), apple picking (during the Fall) and more!
The Toddler hours are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 am-12 pm. Toddlers should be accompanied by a parent or caregiver at all times for safety reasons.
Columbus Circle
The Columbus Circle area is also great for Toddlers because of its many activities and things to see. There’s the tree that lights up in the winter, the carousel in Duffy Square, and Columbus Circle’s ice rink. Toddlers will love playing in this outdoor green space and enjoying some time with their parents as they explore New York City together!
How to get to Columbus Circle: The nearest subway stop is at 59th Street where the A, B, C, and D lines all intersect. It’s also a short walk from Central Park which Toddler families can access by entering on 67th street or 79th street.
FAO Schwarz
FAO Schwarz is a Toddler favorite of mine because it has so many things for kids to explore, and the store isn’t too big which means Toddlers will be able to enjoy their time here. Kids can play on the giant piano or slide down some slippery stairs on oversized toys…
The price range from Toddlers to adults is $12.00-$24.00 but Toddler prices vary throughout the year so please take a look at their online shopping page for pricing before you visit!
Build a Bear Workshop
Toddlers love to Build a Bear Workshop because they get to pick out their own stuffed animals and then design them any way they want. Toddlers can choose from the different available outfits, colors for their fur or hair, accessories like hats or glasses, and more!
The price range is $21.00-$23.00 but prices vary depending on what time you are visiting during the day or if it’s a holiday, so please take a look at their website for pricing information!
Twinkle Playspace
Twinkle is a Toddler favorite! This indoor Toddler playground has slides, tunnels, and play structures for Toddlers to climb on. The space is always brightly lit so Toddlers can have fun as they explore the many different spaces in this gym-like setting.
The cost at Twinkle Playspace is $15.00 which Toddlers and their parents can pay for with cash or credit card. Toddlers should be accompanied by a parent or caregiver at all times while in the facility.
Central Park Zoo
Central Park Zoo is a Toddler favorite because of all the animals they can see and interact with. The Toddler space at the zoo has many different interactive stations to keep Toddlers engaged, like mirrors that make it look like a giant animal is looming over you or colorful play structures for them to climb on.
The cost at Central Park Zoo is $14.00 Toddlers and their parents can pay with cash or credit card. Toddler prices vary throughout the year so please take a look at the zoo’s website before making your visit to see if there are any Toddler discounts available on certain days!
