Colton Underwood opens up. Robin Roberts interviewed Colton on Wednesday on “Good Morning America”.

“There is something that you want people to know, so can you tell us what is on your heart that you want to share?”, Robin asked Colton.

Colton responded: “Yeah”.

“It’s been a journey for sure” Colton said.

Who is Underwood?

Colton Underwood starred in the “Bachelors” season 23. The reality TV star created such dramatic moments throughout the season. The show aired in 2019.

The 29 year old dated Cassie Randolph. In early 2020, the couple announced their break-up.

Moreover, Ms. Randolph filed a restraining order against Colon Underwood. She said Colon kept a tracking device on her car. Later, Cassie dropped the restraining order claiming Underwood solved issues with her.

Colton Underwood’s confession

He spoke deeply personal matters in a recent interview with Robin Roberts.

“I have run from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time,” Colton Underwood told Roberts in a pre-taped chat.

“And I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it. And the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know,” he said.

Mr. Underwood said he went through bad and dark times. He felt that he would rather die than confess he was gay.

“There was a moment in L.A. that I woke up and did not think I was gonna wake up. I did not have the intentions of waking up. And I did,” he said.

The former football player also noted that moment and other suicidal thoughts let him take control of his life.

According to Roberts, Underwood was happy after he came out. She said he was emotional in a “good, happy, healthy way”. She mentioned that was the happiest and healthiest he has ever been.
