Food lovers of New York City unite! Restaurant week is well underway in the Big Apple.
Twice a year some lucky New Yorkers and tourists are lucky enough to experience restaurant week. A week in which one is able to indulge in upscale restaurants that one would typically not splurge on, on a regular Friday night. Trendy, classy, and fine-dining locations provide the ultimate deals in order to give one a taste of their delicacies.
The event started Monday and runs through August 19th, hence it is not an actual week one has to taste all the amazing food restaurants are offering. Steaks, tacos, seafood, pastries, you name it. Restaurant week has it all and is sure to fulfill the taste buds of the pickiest of the pickiest eaters.
Over 300 restaurants will be offering deals such a $29 for lunch a person, and $42 for dinner a person as well for a three-course meal. Tax, tips, and drinks are not included in the deal, and this is not offered on Saturday’s, and not all restaurants will have the deals going on on Sunday’s. Still quite the deal for any food lover, though if one is keen to making it out on the weekend, planning and a reservation will be required.
Although reservations were started to be made on July 11th, there is still time to get your name on a list in order to enjoy some of New York’s finest cuisine.
Restaurants being suggested in Manhattan by Time Out, Guest of a Guest, and CBS, are Bagatelle, Felice 83, Maya, and Morgan Library, to name a few. In Brooklyn, Buttermilk Channel is being strongly recommended, and in Queens Vilvadi’s is the top contestant by Time Out.
So do some research, find some reviews, and get yourself out to one of the hottest eating spots in New York City this Summer, as for food lovers it will be a long and grueling wait until Winter when the next restaurant week comes along.
